Can I suggest we make this more interesting by using the last letter of the word to make the new word?
zoot suit

and it gets replies like "toute sweet "could tend to be a terminating trend - perhaps a little risky

last lettering could obviously always be an individual choice though I believe we should keep to author's plan of one word ,or hyphenation , as much as possible?

I just thought we could still make associate words but just using the last letter. It makes it more of a challenge. But if you don't think it's a good idea, no prob...
Don't recall Lord Jones, but I had heard of Mr Spooner who would swap the initial letters of words e.g. shake a tower (take a shower). My personal creation which my friends laugh at is "I micked a madestake" (made a mistake) which isn't really a Spoonerism, but kind of.

Two words but one item - I was trying to connect Jazz with a word beginning with Z. I just think it's more interesting that way.
Carry on from Jazz then - sorry to interrupt the thread.

hey wait, I see now that zoot suit is connected with jazz too. That's pretty clever! So, if you can use the last letter and still have a word that is connected to the former word, it's an added bonus. Two words makes it difficult though :)
Thank you Padman!!

( ref posts 342 , 348 etc think its fair to recognise that double-barelled names, words and phrases may also be essentially unitary and not problematic.Excluding such as ploys like"perambulating pets performing precise paw progression".Joke! inspired by just having seen cat carefully step down a new stairway...glad I have only 2 feet)
