This is like the regular word game where you use the last letter of the word the previous person said but this version is with chess.com usernames. To type a username, press @ before whatever username it is. If the username is invalid, (No member found) then that username is invalid for the word game and the next person will not use the last letter of that word, but the last letter of the word before the invalidated word.
