As someone who likes to pack heavy (e.g. I will bring two chess clocks and two sets of pieces), I mostly travel by train.
I've been to the USA, Spain, France, Belgium, Netherlands, all over my home country Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Poland, Czechia, and UAE.
My favorite country is the Netherlands. They have an excellent train system, and cities are very walkable. Loved twitchCon Rotterdam and Amsterdam. The chess museum in Amsterdam is definitely worth a a visit.
still honoured that you went my country xD i haven't went India, sadly
Münster is beautiful, lots of green, excellent for cyclists.
Düsseldorf has three-phase (red, green, and yellow) traffic signals for pedestrians! As someone who is often hurrying through cities to get to my next tournament or training camp, that's amazing.
But I really really like the public transport in Nürnberg.
Mülheim has a great chess club, I was able to join one of their lessons for free. (The city is not that great though.)
I'm currently on my way to Travemünde (in Lübeck). It's my first chess tournament there, but I think it's go to be great. The tournament hotel is right next to the Baltic Sea!

So I guess you could say I like any city with an ü in it! ![]()
