You want the truth? You can't handle the truth

Welcome. I know it all. Really. I know what this whole thing is about. I want to share it with you. I'll post it in this forum and if anyone wants to talk about it we will and if no one does that's fine. This is the truth. All there is is nature. That's everything. Nature created the universe, natural materials exists because of natural forces and these materials are naturally evolved, period. The idea of self and soul is false. Being doesn't exist. All there is cells and chemicals. Even love is as a result of nature. Just a bunch of chemicals and chemical receptors. Beauty. Think of the sky. It's just a bunch of colours. Just a pattern. That we love makes us wrongly believe otherwise. Good evil right and wrong don't exist. Everything is just a result of causality. It all just is. It's all one too. Water isn't evil and nor are people. All there is is natural events, no supernatural occurrences at all. And guess what? You don't exist. There is no you. Never has been. All there is is nature. Meaning of life. Nothing is either meaningful or meaningless. It just is. This delusion of self tricks us into thinking otherwise. You want the truth? You can't handle the truth!!!

I love company but I'm going to have to confine my posting on this thread to my commute. I drive my wife crazy when I get heavily involved in a thread.

YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!!

- That is the part i can never understand when you state 'we are an illusion'.

Good I'll explain

The first thing to bear in mind is that it's a struggle to accept the truth.

Look at it this way, how strong is the survival instinct? My message to you is that you don't exist. Naturally that's challenging to you.

A bit like someone in a movie finding they are actually a ghost, you are being asked to accept there is no you.

Anyway bearing in mind you'll struggle to accept the truth I'll do my best to present it to you.

Where to start? Okay let's start at the beginning.

Before matter existed natural forces existed. These forces created matter. With me so far?

Everything just was. It just existed.

You might say right when?!!

Time started at the point of the Big Bang. Prior to that we are in the Quantum world and Newtonian physics break down.

Okay that's the first part explained.

Causality at work. Nature. Natural

Next. Over time life naturally evolved. These natural materials that were present naturally evolved into life forms.

With me still?

Causality. Nature. Natural.

Okay this is the part that people start doing strange things. They can't see objectively because their view is filtered through this I am I exist concept.

This is the part it might help you to think of a chicken rather than yourself. Or a worm. That way you're emotions won't distort your view as much.

All there is even with these life forms is still nature. Nothing changed.

Everything was still a matter of causality of natural evolution. Natural materials naturally evolving. I'm going to leave the delusion to one side for now.

So all the thoughts feelings and behaviours, all the physical properties of that life form, all of these are a part of nature. Causality at work. Evolution.

Nothing changed from the very beginning to the part we are at now.

In the beginning there was nature, now there is nature, and in the end nature will still be here.

There is in reality no start and end.

Nature always was and always will be present.

Causality. Nature. Natural.

Nature and nurture Tom.  The ruling class of any society 'set the tone' and we're generally taught to follow, obey and accept.

The delusion. Love is for me the key. Love is the greatest part of us right? What defines us. What makes us beautiful. What brings meaning to our lives. Well not quite.

I'd basically seen that what we are is nature but I'd struggled to accept it. I thought surely love demonstrates a soul or a self at least.

I looked for science on love. The physiology of love. Could love indeed be natural? A matter of causality and natural evolution? Surely not.

Read about prairie voles.

Three types.

One type with chemicals and chemical receptors to love. Caring partners and parents.

Another type with no chemicals or receptors. Raped and abandoned others.

The third type had receptors but no chemicals.

Awful creatures too. Until scientist injected them with the chemicals that the caring prairie voles had. Guess what? Loving partners and parents now.

Everything but everything without exception has an entirely natural explanation. It's all a part of nature. Everything is a part of nature.

Everything happens because of a cause and that cause is entirely natural

Tom, I thought you were over all this?

Firstplay nature isn't blind. It can know it self.

Consciousness brings that.

Plants lean towards the sun.

That doesn't change the absolute fact that we don't exist as we think we do.

It's still only nature but nature is in fragments and interacting with itself .

Basically one whole though.

There is still only nature present.

Think about the chicken.

It's just reacting to its needs. All the thoughts and feelings are entirely natural and subject to causality.

You're thirsty you think of a drink. It's out of your hands. The truth is there is no you.

It's just a delusion. A part of evolution's trick. Makes you fight for survival

I am Carla. I'm not searching anymore. I wanted to share what I see
ANOK1

there are those who would be the antithesis of natural order , they head multinational conglomerates that pollute and seek to destroy the natural rhythms of our world

they are supported by militaries that have enough nuclear weapons to destroy any hope of life in the future

are they a product of the natural order of things or something entirely different , also can we inject these individuals to stop them being so destructive ?

Lets see what this citizen of Earth has to say

Elroch would explain my position better.

It's called being a materialist. A physicalist.

Darwin, Einstein and Hawking saw the same thing. They all saw that free will is an illusion.

Think of the chicken. It's easier to accept.

Without imagining free will to be true you'll find it easier to accept that all there is is nature and causality.

And why would that not be case? Why would nature not all be one or have turned in to a bunch of gods that were separate from causality?

It's ludicrously egocentric.

You know people used to believe that the world revolved around the earth.

Why?

That's how we think. We can't see all we are is a part of things. Our experience fools us
tomtrytostay
Yes anok. Every life form and every non living thing is purely a part of nature. Just a result of nature and causality without exception
tomtrytostay
Maybe one day you guys will see the truth too.

What's the meaning of life?

Life is neither meaningful or meaningless. It just is
