This video below of our webinar shows how fun and interactive a lesson can be using articles and puzzles from ChessKid.com. As dry as chess notation can be, we have a few good laughs and some good lessons on other topics, leaving my students wanting more! I hope this video helps gets your kids excited about learning more chess as well!

Lemme guess... you're from the east coast?

Midwest, we've had 4 Tuesdays canceled already and thought I would share my webinar idea with those on the east coast this week.  Thinking about recording more webinar lessons for our students at our school that want to join our club, but can't make Tuesdays after school.

Has anyone used Live Analysis board as a virtual classroom for conducting "online chess club meetings?"

Do you mean use the analyze button? Which is popular in Vote Chess.

No, there is a Live Analysis board feature in Live Chess that you can "share" with others to analysis a game or position together and chat in real time, mainly used for teaching.  Curious if anyone has used it for a chess club meeting.

What's a snow day?

Where do you live? In Canada.  Ooops you do live in Canada.

Yeah, I can't remember the last time anything really shut down here for snow.  If we did we'd never get anything done.

I am not a rocket scientist. But with all this technology.... When it starts snowing can we just aim some high powered lasers at the clouds and get rain instead of snow. Undecided

No, I live in Califronia, it was 79 degrees today.

This winter there were quite a few closures of schools and other government agencies, while I and co-workers went to work.

Somehow, we were able to manage.
