Chess for Children

Sort:
WrecknTexan

I am a ESL Teacher and have been apporached to teach Chess to children.

I know that teaching the peices and their movements is the most basic starting point. That puzzles are a great way to implement that, but which kind of puzzles and how can I find fun these fun more simple puzzles?

I suppose a search engine would be able to point me in the direction of a books aimed at kids, and puzzles that are fun and what not. I was just wondering who had any ideas on which books would be better, as I have never really done any research on chess other then my own game.

Anybody have thoughts or suggestions?

I've created a small unit on king safety.

Somewhat complicated, but it's good material.
