OMG SUPER GM aren't the only ones who are good at chess chinese player even though 1900 can defeat 2500 at times

Yes

But a Super GM is better than a 1700 so the 1700 must have learned it wrong

This method was suggested by Garry Kasparov

And how are Super GMs related to your myth that chess is useless

You learnt it worse than me because you are lower rated that means. This is just a comparison

I never said chess is useless

I said you only succesed in chess if you're a prodigy

Also, you said I learned chess wrong, and your way was suggested by a 1700, but super GMs are better so the 1700 learned it wrong by your logic

Also, it isn't a myth, it's the cold, hard, truth

amogh_saagar

Not every champion is the only successful person

amogh_saagar

And pls don't go into the GM level. Talk abut our level

amogh_saagar

a 1700 is better then us so at least following his method will bring us further than we are

amogh_saagar

u r thinking about the Gm level we are nowhere near there

From the looks of this thread chess should taught in school, right after spelling, grammar, and manners. “Cut and paste” is not a life skill but it sure comes in handy in this forum section. What’s next, “My dad can beat up your dad” or “your mother wears combat boots?”

amogh_saagar

But what job will we get from history? but you started at 5? i must respect that

NubbyCheeseking

What job will chess give you

Good for you Simonseville! Keep on playing and enjoying your journey. Plan, prepare, and you will better for it. Just don’t discount a career as a plumber, electrician, or HVAC, the skilled trades will never go away and will always be in high demand. A good plumber or electrician can easily make $100k after only 4-5 years in apprenticeship without a single student loan to repay.

Chess is timeless ,

is it not a game of life  ?

As we must all face our endgame in time .

The Chess rules are the law of the universe & then life & 64 SQ must be lived .

Then the Chessmen & Queen all go back in side the BOX

Art is it not ?

but by learing about the revolution what do you get in REAL LIFE

Well, look, history enables us to think analytically and encourages us to pose questions, which further enhance our understanding of people and society progressively over time. By studying revolutions, in particular, we can get to better know the basis of democracies in the world, with crucial ideas from philosophy guiding such. Here's a fairly good article:

Yes, but if you employ the formula, plug and chug and what not, you will find the likelihood of such an event is fairly low.

Some students compete in sports, others excel in music or art.  Chess seems to be a niche club level activity after class.  Completely voluntary.  Don't see why you would try to force it on anyone.
