1300 bots: nelson and vinh are way, way, way easier than jade

i really thought the rating system for bots were total bullshit (and it still might be) since i had no real trouble beating nelson and vinh (mostly nelson, only played a couple of games against vinh) as a 400, like really, sometimes they almost got me, but then lost in the endgame, sometimes they lost in the late mid game and on occasion they even beat me and my first draw against any bot at all was the first time i played nelson.

i didn't know how difficult the bots would be, so i started with the lowest rated bot and then played the next one until i didn't win a game, so: 250, 400, 700, 1000, 1100 and then nelson, all one after the other.

anyways, ... jade, like she doesn't even have great accuracy (me neither), but for the life of me i can't beat her. the only time i came somewhat close was with the caro kann opening, but all that aside, i just don't understand how these three bots are so different from one another difficulty wise when they all have the same rating.
and yes, i'm not good at chess. as mentioned earlier, i'm a 400 an i rarely beat players who are higher rated than me, so i don't know, make it make sense, nelson and vinh should be way more difficult to play against (and probs some other too).

I agree.And I can beat a 1500 bot,but not a 600 in a human match.

And Nelson's tactics are really weird, and you can beat him easily.

I have been starting to find, that you can do things against one opponent that you would not normally do against most others. For example, you might like to keep your queen around for a while, normally, but when you know an opponent such as Nelson relies on his queen too much, I, at least, exchange queens as fast as I can. This sort of thing does seem to work against bots that are programmed to play a particular way. Against humans it can be psychologically undermining, if you know how they like to play.
