I considered playing a Daily Chess960 tournament, mostly out of curiosity. That said, I have noticed that Daily Chess960 tournaments have one strange feature, namely that in a group each game starts from the same position. (Contrary to Daily Chess960 team matches, where different players get different starting positions.) Given that one of the main attractions of Chess960 (Fischer Random Chess, Freestyle Chess) is the diversity of 960 starting positions, playing 10 games with the same starting position does not look attractive to me. It would be much better to play different positions against different players. Moreover, when everyone starts from the same Chess960 position, it means that players could copy moves from the stronger players in the tournament at the very beginning. (It is a potential problem, definitely not a recommendation.) Would not it be better if players in Daily Chess960 tournaments got different starting positions against different opponents?
