Analysis gives out "great" moves a little cheaply

I had a game today where an opponent captured a pawn with a rook, essentially sacrificing the rook for a pawn. I took with my king, they gave check with their queen and I backed my king up. They had no follow-up to this line of attack. When I looked at the analysis of the game the move where I took the rook was shown as "great." It was an easy to find move for even the most novice of players, and was the only choice in the face of my opponent's blunder.
It feels to me like situations like this cheapen the value of the notation a great deal. I also wonder if that is why I am finding so many more great moves as a player despite not improving significantly over the last few months.
