Auto abandon

I suffer from frequent short disconnects. I just lost another game from a 5 second disconnect. It wasn't even my turn. Yes I was a piece behind but I felt my overall position was better. We all know the Eval bar can swing. The threshold for an auto abandon is set way too high. I really can't continue using the site like this. I'm already at a disadvantage in losing time, now I can't ever play from behind? Please fix this.

How much time you have to reconnect depends on the time control but if you're disconnected in a losing position, that time is shortened.

The values chosen are meant to take into account both players.

Yes I understand that, from experience. 5 seconds in a 10 minute rapid game is unacceptable. I am asking for the formula to be altered.

I still often have to wait up to 5 minutes for an abandon to happen, so I feel this system is unfair and has not really helped to solve the issues.

It certainly should be. That's what I need to be implemented, because this has become beyond absurd.
