No, it doesn't, it means late teens or early twenties, hence the "twe" for twenties. You've gotten incorrect information, probably from the top of google, which is wrong often. The "twe" in tween makes no sense for a pre-teen, it is the beginning part of twenty. i.e. extended teenage-hood going into the twenties, which is common these days.

Not that it really matters but tween is generally meant to be between 10-12, just before 13.

That makes no sense to me but okay, I stand corrected.

Why are people complaining about game review? If they don't like it here then get a game review on lichess or something. The old game review is definitely better, but the new one is actually pretty good.

Being fooled's got nothing to do with it. Suspiciously, it seems you wished I was a child and created an excuse to engage with me. And for what, to provide a solution? No. To suggest an alternative path of resolution? No. To offer any fact-based reasoning whatsoever? Hell no. I mean, I dunno maybe trying to assert your (imagined) intellectual dominance is the paedophile version of negging but I know I speak for actual adults when I say we don't go trying to chat with random children for no good reason.

This is an absurd statement but it demonstrates what kind of individual I'm dealing with here.

Children are not as constantly enraged over nothing as you. Tween is a term for an overgrown 20 year old, which is what I imagine you are, not a young child. But even if you were a child you wouldn't get a free pass to attack and berate people online, I'd expect the adults online to correct your behavior and as a parent, if my son were behaving that way, I'd be perfectly content with other adults putting him in his place.

But I can see you don't like anyone standing up to your aggression and your rudeness. However, as desperate as you are to win and continue behaving according to no personal ethics or standards whatsoever, using an accusation of pedophilia to empower yourself in response is taking things way beyond where they would normally go. I find this direction of the conversation concerning - that's not an accusation that should be casually and instrumentally used to win an argument on the internet. Pedophilia is an egregious act and a serious criminal offense, we should reserve accusations like that for legitimate scenarios where it could be happening, the term should not be sensationalized and used to empower yourself to win an online argument. You seem very numb and oblivious to this.

In the real world, as you say, if you tried this cute stuff with me I'd likely not reply and just punch you in the face, shut it down real quick. So now you run crying to the police and they say they confirm it's a crime and will be charging me as soon as possible where I'll face jail time. They later follow up to assure you they're still working on the charging documents. Then they turn around and say the police department have determined it's not a crime and won't be making any arrests. What would your assumptions then be?

This is the predictable sort of behavior I would expect from someone with an antisocial personality disorder, which I could already see that you have based on your earlier attacks toward staff. Me, I have no interest in beating random strangers who question my authority to try and prop up my fragile ego or whatnot, don't have a personal need for that kind of validation but I understand that you desperately do need it -

Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD): Symptoms & Treatment (clevelandclinic.org)

Cluster B Personality Disorders: Symptoms, Treatment, and More (webmd.com)

Carry onward!

You don't need to be 'dealing' with anyone, you chose to insert yourself into a conversation that had nothing to do with you for no good reason simply because you chose to perceive it as me attacking someone, and a seemingly uncontrollable need to.. correct a stranger on the internet's behaviour meh? That is the very foundation on which this entire absurdity is built.

I made no accusation, I simply stated your behaviour was sus and stand by it, especially since that may be how you choose to use the word tween, but the actual definition - as has already been pointed out - is essentially a child. And you don't need to have APSD to understand that sometimes violence is the best answer, you need only be human and live in the real world.

What you're failing to grasp here is that you're imagining you're standing up to me and that there's any sort of opposition here, when the reality is I don't care about you in the slightest. There is nothing to be won and you're the only one in this so-called online argument. The same way you inserted yourself is the same way you can remove yourself. Just stop responding.

Sometimes attempts to simplify things just make them more complicated... common core math is one example, game review is another.

That said, the angry tweens on here should learn to distinguish between some real animus the site has toward them and the regular kinds of problems that any large scale engineering effort encounters. Yes I am sorry to say that you are living in the real world, your virtual womb is an illusion.

Firstly, I'm not a tween. Secondly, I've professionally coded long enough to know a cop-out when I see one. Thirdly, I've offered twice to be hired as a freelancer to fix the problem myself because I'm actually trying to solve the problem - which isn't just for me but for everyone who uses the site. Lastly, if you're gonna chime in on a conversation just to spread your assumptive opinions about someone you don't know, don't hide behind your pseudo-intellectual passive-aggression, have the balls to address me directly.

bro if you've been offered twice to fix it and you are a so called "Professional coder" then solve it? Also, if a page continually reloads, there might be a bug which the system is trying to fix by auto reloading it. Don't just assume the RCN system doesn't go for priorities, just like you said, "if you're gonna chime in on a conversation just to spread your assumptive opinions about someone you don't know, don't hide behind your pseudo-intellectual passive-aggression"

I wasn't offered anything, I said that I offered. And I'm not assuming anything, if you read my posts prior to me being engaged in nonsense you'll see that what I stated is specifically what I've been told.

Staff have taken a lot of feedback and made some changes based on the feedback. Not everyone is going to be satisfied with site design decisions and staff have to balance site plans with feedback.

There have been a lot of changes through the years and the previous iteration of the product was Game Report went through changes, eventually becoming Game Review, which has also had a lot of changes since release.

Each update has members that dislike them and others that like them. As you mentioned, that was brought up in the State of Chess.com broadcast and Danny (the Chief Chess Officer) mentioned some of that. I don't recall Erik (the CEO) mentioning Game Review on his segment but I'll have to rewatch that part."

You never listen to the feedback. Ever. Stop Changing Things for no good reason....
And another thing.... Do something about the blatant cheaters... FFS!! AI is available if you are incapable of doing it yourselves....

That's not correct. Staff do take feedback and have implemented things based on feedback. They won't do everything suggested but that doesn't mean they don't do any

You know one way staff can satisfy everyone? Fix actual bugs. Yet they don't seem to do this either. So what exactly are they doing?

They do fix bugs but a lot of development work is going towards the RCN system right now along with another project so lower priority issues may be slower to get resolved.

I don't know what RCN is and it's nothing to do with priorities: I reported a bug, they confirmed it's a bug and were working on it, they re-confirmed it's a bug and were still working on it, then turned around saying it's not a bug but "standard parameters". Really, in 2024 it's 'standard parameters' to have one of your pages continually auto-reload for no reason - does that make sense to you?

RCN stands for Royal Canadian Navy.
