Chess com Haptic Feedback on Mobile App is WRONG ❌❌❌. Please FIX IT.

Chess.com’s current haptic feedback isn’t actually haptic feedback—it’s just a delayed vibration after every move (both mine and my opponent’s). This completely misses the point of how haptic feedback should work in a chess app. In the Lichess beta app, haptic feedback is implemented correctly—it gives a subtle vibration while I’m making my move, making the experience feel natural and responsive. It’s smooth, immersive, and actually enhances gameplay. On Chess.com, however, the vibration happens after the move is made, which feels unnatural and even annoying. It’s no surprise that most users just turn it off entirely. Suggested Fix: 1. Make haptic feedback trigger while the user is moving the piece, not after. 2. The Vibration after the opponent plays the move cannot be called Haptic feedback. Haptic Feedback is something which we experience when we touch our device. Right now, I severely miss proper haptic feedback while playing on Chess.com, to the point where I’m considering canceling my membership. If this can be fixed, it would massively improve the mobile experience. Has anyone else noticed this? And is there any chance the devs could implement a proper version of haptic feedback?

Totally agree, the vibration is too brutal and very annoying. It should be small haptic feedback like when you type text on the keyboard. This functionality is completely unusable on quick games <= 3min or when reviewing games as the phone becomes a nervous sex toy on every opponent move (on Android device, One plus 12).

It would be really nice if some devs could help with this feature. It greatly miss for game comfort, avoid bothering neighborhood with sound and I think we could really be better / play faster, as we're not always staring at the screen to check if the opponent really just played and avoid loosing few seconds.

Chess.com is the only app/game (except music/video) that forces me to put sound on if I want to be efficient while playing because of this missing haptic feature and that's very frustrating.

Thank you for your time and efforts.
