The Novag library works with Arena, LucasChess, LucasChessR and Shredder, but the developer said it doesn't work with Fritz either. I've successfully loaded it with Arena and LucasChessR, and it works.
Chess.com Support for Millenium Exclusive and King Performance via ChessLink
Yes that's what I tried. But without success.
Anyway it doesn't look like we can interface with Fritz to play with Fritz normally. It is basically using the engine match function (engine vs engine) and taking over one of the UCI engines so that the Chess Link provides the "engine" when it is its turn.
What we probably want, which would be so amazing, is either direct support by the GUI for the Chess Link, or a special app that actually uses computer vision to look at the screens (can be ANY screen, computer or smartphone or tablet) and then send that to the Chess Link as the "computer move" and then do the reverse, input the chess move via the Millennium sensory board, and in a system level control (analogous to Apple's AppleScripts or Automator for OS X) drag and drop the GUI chess pieces. This is actually more possible that it seems upon reading what I wrote, because computer vision has come a long way, along with CPU performance, and I think I came across some Python libraries that do it, or some other open source library.
That’s essentially how Cerbato’s software works to play vintage chess computer emulators.
Webcam Chess is another interesting project that lets one play against an online opponent or vintage chess emulators with a “dumb” chess board and a webcam. https://youtu.be/I5A4elJHXWw
I’d prefer direct support though. I hope Millennium and Chess.com can work it out. They are both great companies that care about their customers, so I stay hopeful about it.
Wow, I just looked at the webpage for Webcam Chess. If the developer wanted more revenue, surely he ought to have an English page?! LOL

From what I read you can only play online with the Millennium board on Lichess, I like Chess.com better, but prefer playing on a real board. Please Chess.com, work with the Millennium boys & girls to get this working. Preferably in iOS and MacOS

I agreed with you robinkingma1980, chess.com + iOS + Millennium board is an excellent combination !!!

Interesting idea! The drag and drop seems difficult to implement but there's a chrome extension that allows you to move pieces via keyboard commands in Chess.com (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/chesscom-keyboard/bghaancnengidpcefpkbbppinjmfnlhh?hl=es). Also there's a Chrome Extension that allows reading the current board position using AI (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/chessvisionai-chess-posit/johejpedmdkeiffkdaodgoipdjodhlld?hl=es). and many more that seem to extract the position and suggest the best move... I get the feeling that it can be done but I lack the coding skills. I would be great to play live on Chess.com with my new Millennium The King Performance!

And is it possible to play against Maia https://www.reddit.com/r/chess/comments/k4o6z1/introducing_maia_a_humanlike_neural_network_chess/
On the Millennium Exclusive board somehow.
Ladyhawke79,
Sorry I didn't answer this part of your question. You can play chess engines on the Millenium Chess Genius Exclusive if you have a computer, the ChessLink module, and an application that allows you to load chess engines. I don't know if Maia is packaged like most other chess engines yet.
I use HIARCS Chess Explorer, which has support for the Millenium Chess Genius Exclusive via the ChessLink module. If you use the PC version (like me), you need to connect the ChessLink via USB to the PC (the HIARCS software doesn't support bluetooth electronic boards, but ChessLink has a USB connection for PC). You'll go to the Preferences menu, Advanced tab, and then select Detect under the Electronic Board (if the MCGE doesn't automatically show up).
If you are able to download Maia, you would load it into HIARCS using the Preferences menu, Engines tab, then associate the engine to the software program. I haven't tested this.
Finally, you'll open a new game against an engine (it's an icon that looks like a faceless man), select the engine you'd like to play against, and accept the start of the game. Once the game starts, you'll click the icon that looks like a normal "Wifi" signal (which links the board to the particular HIARCS tab that you have open).
Hope that helps.
I wonder if this is possible on the same android tablet. For example start the Chesslink android app. And start a game on the Lichess android app, against maia5. And play the games on the millennium exclusive board this way.
Update on my post: i just made a bit of a research on why exactly Millenium`s Chess Link doesn`t work with Chess.com, and it appears that it is Millenium who`s supposed to make it work, i guess, but Chess.com`s cooperation is needed, also - if information on this post is to be true, of course; but the person written the post seems to have really been involved with the ChessLink`s app development, at least. Here`s the screenshot from the comments to the relatively lenghthy and detailed post, and the link to the post, also: https://hiarcs.net/forums/viewtopic.php?p=100503&sid=d480f2f35662572cf12b9b7b48124c6f

Today I download the Millennium version for iPhone, finally they released, work great with lichess...Of course I prefer chess.com...but is what it is at least today...

From reading that thread, it is actually the chess.com API that Millenium is waiting on. Without that, Millenium cannot move forward since there is no way to interact with the site.
Is there a chess.com enhancements request page that we can cast our vote for chess.com to provide the needed details to Millenium?

Hi,
Seems like these guys from Kickstarted had managed to find a temporary solution:

Few weeks ago I’d sent an email to the Millennium asking to check, if they also can implement similar technique = silence ...

They've got the same problem. They developed a JS script that emulates mouse clicks, but really they need the API. I doubt it is terribly stable in its current state because it would rely on the mouse clicks to be perfect (ie, nothing else going on the computer, etc).
I still think that Millenium is the perfect board for online play. I have a DGT board now too - I use it for playing against the computer, and practicing (I really like the quality), but I love the Millenium because of the LEDs. The ability to play online without looking up is just seamless. I'm hoping that chess.com gets it and develops the necessary API.

The site apparently has an API and they worked with SquareOff, but I'm guessing they require all connections to go through a server controlled by the vendor software. I don't know that for certain and don't know how the Millennium works exactly, so don't know how likely something like that is to happen.
I vote for Millenium & chess.com, the DGT version is annoying depending on the screen to see & hear the moves, the Millenium set show the moves with lights directly on the board...we are in the 21 century !!!
