color scheme of computer opponents sucks bad!

The fact that I can only play against most "special" computer opponents on their own board layout with fixed coloring is totally annoying! The boards usually look ugly as hell.

You can disable those boards under Settings > Themes and toggle Enable Special Themes to off.
