Contest: Bug of the day

Like to vote for A: alerts look to be back now, they just refuse disappearing after having done their job (also my proposition for today)

Tournamentix

Should we add a categorie for long lasting bugs?

Crashing Multi Club Arenas, limited number of Multi Club Arenas, limited number of challenges to Multi Club Arenas, missing alerts for Multi Club Arenas, unprecise presentation of club results for Multi Club Arenas, lack of alerts for daily matches with rating limits, lack of alerts for challenges to matches with two rating limits, de facto impossibilty to block unwelcome challenges, frozen daily games, frozen vote chess games, wrong results in daily matches, disappearing challenges to daily matches, incomplete club list for daily challenges, incomplete club list for vote game challenges ... to be continued.

It sounds like someone takes the piss out of us 😤

aa11play

Yep, long lasting bugs are annoying and my favorite is 502 happy.png

Tournamentix

@ccp115a: Is 502 a bug? Or perhaps a feature to teach more patience ... and let give all of us less relevance to (our) money?

Tournamentix

As someone other also noticed this? For me it takes minutes until new comments are shown.

aa11play

Yep, comments not always show up right away, needs to wait a minute ...

502 is not a bug itself but on other hand it is related to a fact that server is overloaded that is a huge problem or in my view bug!  happy.png

Something needs to be done to resolve it ASAP otherwise I can predict some chess players will leave this site due to unwillingness to waste precious time.  I got 502 screen multi times today - still wasn't able to make moves in most of my daily games!

Maybe management needs to look into the root - why there is this much new activity lately?  Is there dummy games and players that spam the server?  etc...

cherokee751

@ccp115a I already know few players who left this site.

My question is, do they ( management ) care about?

aa11play

Hope so.  It is logical to preserve business.  They seem trying to solve issues though.

Andrea

Soon we will have a TOP TEN 😛

Tournamentix

@Andrea: Only, if there will be a few last standing admins following Chess.com's problems while being obstructed managing their clubs and competitions. As far as I've noticed, our extremely reduced club traffic already does its very best to help servers "recovering" in this "unprecedented growth of chess".

Tournamentix

By the way: I like to vote for A as C and D don't show the required persistence to become a bug champion yet.

Vote for C !

On the vc theme, not to forget opening explorer lost association with the vote chess a few years ago.

Oft some bright spark with a new line of code unable to reconcile knock-on effect with existing code.

Has anyone else noticed the bug where Game Review displays ratings for the incorrect time control? When I look at my blitz games, it often displays rapid ratings for both myself and my opponent. Just started happening this week.

aa11play

Just timed out in 1 game that wasn't able to make a move for last 2 weeks...  Why it takes so long to fix them or should testers do a better job before moving in a new version?
