Screen grab the quote. The bots can't word match a picture.
for staff, a must read

i received the red banner twice trying to post this quote from an attorney: "I haven't seen the statistics, but I've got to assume that the instances of r ape (adjusted) and strong-arm robberies plummeted when those (guns) became widespread".
fix this!
i'm pretty sure there is a threshold of red banners that tri ggers a mute. i demand mine is reset.
furthermore, if you are going to continue to be lazy, you need to post a list of these banned words. let me remind you that you still have a few remaining adults here.
heck, i even adjusted tri ggers just in case your lame ai has determined it to be a naughty word.

I find out new ones from time to time.
You can call someone a prick, but not a put-z.
Not to mention the oft-repeated fact that there is no filter when accessing through the app, and since most users at teens, that means most users don't have a filter at all.

I once posted a medical illustration of the difference between rectum and a n u s.
You can say one but not the other... for... whatever reason.

Interesting, I just now got another red banner for hyphenating a n u s
but it let me hyphenate pu-tz.
Some people feel the strain of a filter. Other's just screen it out. I just let my words mesh together. See what I did there?
In response to #25: I wonder if I can mention this book I read. Or even post a picture of the cover.

.....
so, staff, you are idi*ts for allowing this.
also of note is that i emailed cc immediately after the mute, expressing my displeasure succinctly. right away I received the boilerplate response of “we’ll get right back to you…”. they never did.
so, bots that don't work as they should along with absoliutely zero customer service.
i will never, ever, pay money for my limited time on this site. i’ll donate to lichess instead.
Support has been experiencing a very high number of tickets and has been working through them. That high load means it's taking an extended amount of time for getting a response.
They've been hiring additional support staff but it takes time to get new people up to speed as well. My understanding is they've made a lot of progress on the backlog, but it can still take time to get back with you.
Maybe the backlog wouldn't be so high if they actually fixed the crux of the problem. Nobody cares about the backup. They care that the people here actually bother to fix the issue, which as a result, would clean up the backlog. Isn't that what we pay you for? We don't pay you so that you can sit there and play paper football or tiddly-winks all day! I'm calling out the developers in this case. I was a developer from 1998 to 2010. I can tell you from experience. No code takes years-on-end to write. FIX IT!
The autobots have gone completely nutto. You can't say anything without it dinging you. I was another that got muted the Friday before last (April 14th), the AUTOMATED, CANNED message said I was muted for 24 hours.
If it is capable of AUTOMATICALLY MUTING, THEN FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, IT SHOULD AUTOMATICALLY UNMUTE TOO!
But NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! It doesn't auto-unmute. It was 6:07pm that Saturday night when someone responds (The Auto-unmute should have occurred 8:18am that Saturday) saying I was unmuted, but I wasn't. And it wasn't until Tuesday that I find out that it's because these people are uneducated and don't push the right buttons. I sent messages Sunday, Monday - NOTHING.
I had to message one of the head admins directly via facebook message for any action to occur. This is outright pathetic.
It's not just backlog - so stop spewing that excuse. My week-long issue of being falsely muted in early May 2018 also still looms, which I had to go to the same head admin for anything to get done. Get your act together! Outside of one head admin, the rest of the employees here get TWO THUMBS DOWN!
Martin isn't paid to do anything. Mods are volunteers. But you know that. He has about as much power to fix things as you do. Save your vitriol for e-mails to C.C.

My knees don't bend like that anymore.

Hard to say who's knees are which. Most disturbing part of that picture is the guy with the axe.

lol.
How about people review what they're quoting with a little more care: as much as it may originally be from someone else - however they managed to circumvent the autofiltering - by quoting it you are perpetuating and propagating it, so that's on you.
Auto-unmuting does happen. Your first mute is auto-unmuted after something like 24 hours. The increment increases with each subsequent mute.
The auto filter looks at the text and doesn't do anything about pictures. So one can actually post some horrific stuff and it's reliant on the mods to see it and action it. It will generally result in instant closure, though. There was a war a few years ago when a repeat offender kept coming back with new accounts to post gay porn. The mods outlasted him and he went away eventually.
And text matching is completely different from cheat detection. Competence in one area has nothing do with competence in the other.
So many dumb takes in the one thread.

you are perpetuating and propagating it, so that's on you.
You have no idea that sorts of chats I've been in (not on this site), so trying to shame me for quoting (not even saying but quoting!) the word "bewb"... probably would not have even worked when I was 12 years old. It's not a dirty word. What the hell is wrong with you people...
"Porn" however, is a dirty word... the fact you filter one and not the other speaks to how arbitrary and unworthy of respect the system is.
So chess.com bought some junk code for $50 and copy pasted it into the forums. Well la-de-freakin'-da. Don't shame me for speaking (oh I'm sorry, quoting, not even speaking but quoting) casual English when staff allows this place to be a daily dumpster fire. (for example)
It's also funny they want us to believe their cheat detection is super advanced, but they can't get spell check working or filter out swear words.
