also @martin_stahl, who found @autobunny's profile pic offensive and which mod agreed?

was there an indication that the bunny was put to sleep?

should there have been a "no animals were harmed in this production" disclaimer?

If @autobunny had the avatar removed, it happened I don't see a reference of it happening, so have no real insight there.

Oh, and whatever you did gave me an RG45 error... not sure if you realized / intended... just letting you know.

Similar has happened previously and contacting support they fix everything without having any clue why anything happens.

(And if it wasn't you that's even worse)

This is the Chess.com fraud dept. We are seeing unusual suspicious activity on your card. If this is not you, please play d-4 now.

But the test team said e4 was best by test

I'm guessing most of the posters here remember the original avatar.

An advantage of having an editable site without logs for traceability is deniability

I'm guessing it happened after you closed it?

AFAIK there's an action they can take that's not as harsh as a ban but removes... stuff? Removes all the media you posted including your profile pic... but doesn't remove your posts and doesn't give you a ban icon.

Or it's just another stupid bug, but I'm guessing autobunny did something slightly offensive, so they slapped you with that not-quite-a-ban action.

It used to be that whenever I made an account, it would let me post once, but that post would trigger an auto mute, then staff would unmute me and say they had no idea why it happened.

Pretty sure it has to do with creating multiple accounts, so it might be an automated thing that's falsely flagging you for some kind of abuse.

This particular thing hasn't happened in a long time though, so rules / triggers may have changed.

How many accounts do you have at present?

The important point is that if what I was doing were against the rules, then staff wouldn't unmute me while apologizing for not understanding the reason.

At the moment I have two accounts, which was approved by chess.com.

@tkbunny

and this sunny bunny account shows as closed for abuse when it was self closed.

do you see anyone claiming it was closed for abuse on this topic?

I've had similar happen. I think it's an automated action for suspicious IP activity such as two IPs -> one account

or two accounts -> one IP.

In my case (and I assume yours) it's nothing we did wrong... for example the system thinking your new account and old account are open at the same time.

What do you mean? Do you mean "you" as in the site?

it's really a disaster to play bullet on chess.com. Why can't this be done like on Lichess? At Chess.com, the pieces move very slowly. You first have to click a piece really well before you can move it. With Lichess this goes much faster. Chess.com is unsuitable for bullet and blitz! When will Chess.com do something about this? When will we get an answer?

There's a lot of bullet and blitz being played on site daily. If you're seeing issues, check out the following:

I cannot reproduce the problem you describe. I think your issue is local (i.e., your system).

ah no it is not local. On the computer and on the app the pieces go to slow. You have to click on a piece and then move, that takes to long. It would be better when you can do the move immediately. I am not sure of you understand what I mean but it is not local. Play bullet on Lichess and you will see it. In Chess.com the pieces go to slow; it takes a few seconds to do a move !

I have played thousands of bullet games on Lichess and tens of thousands of bullet games on chessdotcom.

If the problem was due to the site’s functionality, I would have been able to reproduce it. As I cannot, the problem is local to your device.

Wow! On one of the spamming threads @Pianojames locked he said to DM him if other spam threads come up. I just took him up on that sending him a link to "Free Spamming Forum!". Literally 2min later he locked it.

Props to James for taking out the garbage. That's the way to moderate. Take action when members are helping out and pointing you in the direction of issues that need attention.

Pump up da James , pump it up
