Force move when Opponent has only one move

@chesscom

One of the most frustrating experiences when playing chess is when the opponent is stalling. They can have only one legal move, yet take their time to execute that move.

Suggestion: Force automatic move after 7 seconds when there is only one legal move.

Thank you

For the most part people can use their time however they want. Just because they only have one legal move doesn't mean they can't use that time to think about the moves that come next.

What if the king only has one legal move, and is about to be mated? It seems reasonable to not allow opponents to stall out the game because they know they've lost.

That is why I said "For the most part".

Stalling in a hopelessly lost position is already a violation of the sites sportsmanship policy and players can be reported for that. I don't think that an automatic move should apply if the game can continue after a forced move. People should be able to use their time to think about their opponents response and their own counter response before making that move.

If they only have one move, let them do it and think after, it dosent help to think earlier, let your opponent move, you have nothing to lose, only clarity in what they'll do next....
