How do i turn the %$$ing confetti off

Since this afternoon, this site does new things when a game starts and when it is over. At the end it throws confetti over the board. I want to get rid of that effect, or at least be able to turn it off. The developers better spend their time on fixing the game reviews which are broken for a long time.

Settings > Board and Pieces and toggle Pre/Post Game Board Animation off and Save

Regarding Game Review, the only issue In aware of is that immediately running one post game may not work if there's lag in the Gane writing to the archive.

I appreciate the help, but I do not find the 'pre/post game animation switch' in settings>board and pieces. Could it be hadden somewhere else?

bumping. cannot see this darned option. chess is a fairly conservative game - it doesn't need lame glitter thrown at it dammit.

How do you turn off the confetti hoopla? There doesn't appear to be a pre/post game animation switch.

Update - In desktop mode I found a little unlabeled checkbox directly beneath the save button in the board and pieces settings. Uncheck that box to turn off confetti hoopla.

I believe they don't have that option on a desk top. It's in Puzzle Battle as well, and its ruined it for me.

First world problems

It's possible the Puzzle Battle animations are separate from the game animations. I'm only seeing the latter in beta and have the option to disable bit don't out of beta.

The biggest problem with these confetti is when I play bullet with white they appear during my first move and mess up my game from the beginning and diatract me, taking time from my clock.

Good thing there is a way to remove it, but it would be better if its removed by default. I already had to resign a game on first move because I didnt manage to do the opening I want because of that damn screen.

You can turn the confetti and pre/post animations off on desktop from the little gear icon next to the playing board.

The introduction is annoying too.

The confetti just kicked in for me yesterday. Thank goodness this thread exists. I made a post whining about the new "review game" ad popup, but the post/pre game animations are so much worse.
It's good. It's just the right encouragement I need to totally shift over to lichess.

You can turn it off, but it just annoyingly defaulted, without warning.
