how do i use it?
hey just asking a question. and everyone who claims to know the answer hasnt tole me as of yet. so the question remains open
Clubs chats are unmoderated, usually, you can say most things there and not receive punishment.
But idk why u would even be here for arguments like that. go to reddit or something. Its a chess site.

okay i do see your point. I am a person that can be very kind and caring, but i can also be a real SOB. and in regards to reddit, this may come as a suprise for you, but their moderators are not as lenient as you may think. people are banned from sub-reddits regularly. myself included

If you're getting banned from Sub reddits you must be doing some crazy stuff.
Idk why u would get so into arguing that u want to just say whatever u want no matter how rude or disgusting it may be.
It's a chess site, just play the damn game. Im sure there are websites out there like 4chan, or certain discord groups or whatever that allow that nonsense, but I don't see why you would do it. It's just shortening your lifespan with all the anger you're generating.
haha it seems my attitude has had the same effect on all of you that it has on everyone else.
have no fear though, i will not be changing who i am any time soon. and in response to Mr-mudd: it is a well known fact that chess is just as much psychological warfare as it is objective. would it not make sense to tilt my opponents on purpose if it makes them play worse?
so if i tease you for a move and that affects you in a negative way, then that increases the likelyhood that I would win. a tilted opponent is worth more than a rook if you ask me

Great idea, except for the fact that ur opponent can just disable the chat instantly by pressing 1 button
it's crazy how people go beyond their own personal dislike of unmoderated life and enforce it on others. like, they think certain "wrongthink" such as from 1984 is not just something for them to dismiss/avoid, everyone else has to be stopped from hearing seeing or thinking the wrongthinks as well. when i was growing up, it seemed like school, history, literature were trying to teach this whole idea of free expression and how important it is for this very reason, but it seems to have been lost nowadays. people are very zealous and eager in what is essentially "opinion enforcement." this thread really shows some good examples via the types of responses. it just seems very disconnected with the philosophic core of free speech, expression, diversity of ideas. it's very fashionable right now to push a very rigid conformity toward a monolithic thought.
anyway, i could keep going about this forever. it's a good idea to have an opt-in mode for moderation. they used to have that you could basically click a box and it would mute naughty words you dont like, and you can just block certain users who you dont want to hear from. now its more about blanket policing of a consensus, and its in all spaces not just games.
There should be an option to have a fully unmoderated chat so we can smack talk each other without being banned. It would not be bad because both parties would need to agree beforehand. Sounds fun to me
