When chess960 matches begin, there are almost always a few players who immediately resign their games or allow their games to time-out. They had joined the match without noticing it was chess960 and weren’t comfortable playing it.
This is the small chessboard that is in the top left corner of the match page:
If the grey centre of that logo was more noticeable, it would vastly reduce the problem. A different colour would probably do the trick:
