Improvement suggestion for the pairing algorithm

Dear chess.com staff,

Whenever i play 10|0 chess 960 tournaments i get paired against either 1600 rated players or 600. My rating is 1200, which means i am either crushing or getting crushed, without experiencing any decent fight. Could you adjust the pairing algorithm to take into account the ratings, so that players get matched with more equally rated opponents during tournaments, and thus improving the playing experience?

In Swiss system tournaments, that's not how it works.  In the 1st round, if there are 20 players, the highest rank plays the 11th ranked, the second highest plays the 12th.  After the first round, people are paired by their total score. If you win your first three, you will be paired with another player with 3 points. (Although if there is an odd number, you may play players with 3.5 or 2.5 points). The point is to produce a clear winner, not to produce balanced ratings matches.

Arena tournaments do pair people close in rating. (If there are people close in rating)
