If you don't move at all, you'll be placed on vacation automatically as premium. For a basic member, it would time out but wouldn't change rating, with the exception of tournament games I believe. It would count against the timeout ratio and qualifying for tournaments with a max ratio set
I play daily (3 day moves) and just won a game with an opponent rated 45 points below me. There was no rating change for either of us.
HST, my opponent only responded to my first move. He did not abandon the game. He did not move again. After three days, time ran out. Is that a factor in having no rating change?
Why would a player be rewarded for simply ceasing play? And having me sit around for three days? He took a loss, but no loss in rating; I took a win, but no increase in rating.
Curious.
