Lichess is better

There was a post in one of the other categories about how Chess.com intends to move to Google cloud so as to have more distributed nodes, which may bring one closer to you and would theoretically reduce the lag. No idea about the time frame for that.

They are both good and I use both but I play more on Lichess. The forum's on chess.com are better but I like the puzzles on Lichess more where it shows me where to work on. Also, I like the analysis on Lichess more than the premium chess.com version as it shows me with arrows the best moves and it is much easier to use it with a database than chess.com

 

Nevertheless, whether you like one site more than the other, we can all agree that they are both better than Chess24

it is your opion what you like better but going on one site to say what one is better is like asking to be insulted. 

i know its too much to read at this point lol..

basically..i love chess.com but i prefer bullet games and i found lichess to be better for me lag wise maybe because im nearer lichess nodes than chess.com nodes..

im still hopeful it will get better in time with the google cloud gradually getting activated in more places..

but once that happens i'll get the diamond again

Think about it. Chess.com has more options than Lichess. There are better forums, better news, better puzzles, more variants, a bigger streamer program, more players and videos. Bigger game and opening database and a video lesson guide.

true alicia..i like all that stuff too, but like i said..i love bullet games more than anything else..

i like chess.com for the variety of stuff..

i like lichess for letting me do what i love most..bullet games which gives less lag for me maybe because of node location..

im aware others can love other things more..

my earlier aggressive messages in this post was because i experienced almost a week straight of lag issues here while experiencing less of that on lichess..

this post title is actually a cheeky click baity attempt for me to give more attention on resolving lag issues..but its been pointed out that the google cloud project is still in the process so im patiently waiting for that..

its true it hinders learning..its just more fun lol

i admit i havent taken the game that serious myself..

i guess im just stubborn and egotistical wanting to come up with my own moves..

to amuse myself i wanted to see the highest rated player i can beat by moving all my pawns up one by one like if im white i move a3 then b3 all the way across..

highest i beat was 2000 or so..i almost beat a 2100 but i blundered at the end..and this was in rapid..but i just came up with that stupid opening while playing bullet

it just gave me the biggest laugh in the beginning when i would win with it because its so stupid lol..hikaru can probably make it work lol..it just became like a cool stress reliever technique for me..

they call chess a game at the end of the day so it should be fun..

its not fun for me to learn someone elses system..just like when i play guitar i hate playing someone elses song i always play my own..i get that hinders my learning but im not trying to be a grandmaster..

i find joy that my progress came from my own discovery..someone didnt give me the answer and i appreciate it more
