Live evaluations are gone ?

Are evaluations on live game gone as spectator ? I don't mean the eval bar but the actual lines given by the engine.

So I regularly watch my friends play games during the day (if I see they're playing I like to watch how they fare). So far so good you may say. And I take pride in sometimes turning off the evaluation lines and just keeping the eval bar so that when it shoots up, I try to find the winning idea and then compare to what the engine would suggest as I turn the option on again. Well for a few day, the evaluation lines have disappeared in live games for me. At first I though it may be something like a cheating preventing measure, say if you watch your friend's game and relay moves. But I also looked at completely random people's games in my club and it doesn't work as well. I've been trying to find like a blog post from chess.com saying they're turning off the option, some other forums posts, etc. But nothing.

Is it something happening on your side as well ? Has chess.com said anything about that anywhere that I've missed ?
