Moderation and daily puzzle chat
As far as I know the blocklist exists but only in the web version + it does work anyway
Is it client-side or something?

This is a post regarding site moderation, specifically regarding the comments section of the daily puzzle. I think this is the correct place to voice my concerns.
Moderation on this site feels more reactive rather than proactive. Harmful content is posted, it's reported, and is taken down. However, there should also be *some* fort of automated filter. Slurs and strong profanity are able to be posted with no issue. WHY?
The comments on the daily puzzle chat are a prime example of this. You'll see slurs, strong profanity, nonsense spam, homophobia and transphobia, racism, sexism, and much more.
My proposal is to add a word blocklist for strong profanity and slurs. Even just some basic word blacklists and regex go a long way. I'm honestly surprised this hasn't been a thing for a long time.
Thank you for reading my post, and have a nice day.
