I think that 99.9% of chess players just want a solid, very responsive interface. Yet he devs just keep on messing with the code and introducing bug after bug.

Now in the last day I keep losing because my first move as White is not moving if I make the move too quickly, it just shows red squares and I need to move again. In 1-minute games this is taking too long!!

Can you guys just FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY just get the interface solid and leave it alone.

I hear you—when you’re playing fast time controls like 1 minute, every millisecond counts and stuff like this is super frustrating. Chess.com’s devs are always tweaking things, but sometimes those tweaks introduce weird bugs that take a while to iron out.

Have you tried clearing your cache or switching browsers? Sometimes that helps with strange UI issues. If it’s a widespread bug, hopefully, they’ll patch it soon—might be worth reporting it in the Site Feedback section if you haven’t already.

Agree, though—a rock-solid interface should be priority #1. Let’s hope they fix this ASAP!
