Diamond is the highest level of premium membership: there are lower levels too if you're not using all of those tools. I just wanted to get rid of the most annoying ads, so I'm happy with gold.

The site raised the subscriptions in September 2023 for the first time in 14 years. It's not likely that rates will drop but there have been some instances of special rates during events in the past year. That could happen again.

If you pay for a year in advance it's equivalent to $10 a month. If you pay monthly it's more.

10 a month is definitely more attractive, but I wish it were available in 3 payments per year or something. Paying it upfront is very expensive to a lot of people.

Yea if there was no free option they would lose 50 % of the players here. Theres plenty of other free options for chess with that said for 10 a month I think over all its worth it. They do a good job.

The best feature is Game Review. But "Move Explanations" is just expanding on it making it better. So you don't even get that with Gold, then you get the nerfed version with Platinum, and the full version with Diamond. I could care less about unlimited Puzzles, lessons, or extra bots... and adblockers are like necessary for life on a PC.
So basically I gotta pay for Diamond to get the full version of the 1 feature I use and like. If they offered the Diamond level service for like 25% the price, I might consider it. But even the 50% off promotions they regularly give is too expensive for what you get IMO.
Diamond membership is only useful if you take chess really seriously. Otherwise, it is useless and not worth the price.

There's actually too many features for free members. They should take everything away from the free members except the ability to play games. Free members should definitely not be able to chat or only be able to send 1 message a minute. I'm sick of reporting spammers and blocking them doesn't do anything.
