Opponent’s clock runs out but I loose on timeout

I play through the phone app (iOS). Had this happen multiple times where it is my opponents turn, his clock keeps going down but when it reaches 0, his move appears, his time resets and I get a loss due to timeout.
Kept an eye on my connection, it was fine the whole time.

Make sure you're on the newest app version. 4.7.17+ has a fix for a similar issue that impacted some games

This has happened to me but I play on PC (Chrome). Same issue, no indication of disconnect or anything. Internet is totally fine - seems to be a chess.com issue?

Same for me, just lost three games because my opponents time was visibly ticking down for me but apparently from the servers point of view it was my time running out.

Edit: Also on PC.

Happened to me too, 1/0 game and their clock would run down to 0, then a move is made and they are back to 20 seconds, run down to 0, back to 19 seconds, run down to 0, back to 17 seconds.

Next game I make a move and it says I'm gonna forfeit if I don't make a move, 30 seconds later it says my opponent abandoned the game

Also taking a while to find a match in an arena. Maybe something off with the servers right now.

And maybe some players are hacking the game?

That never happened to me…?
