Option for straight arrows with Knight moves

The current site has L shaped arrows for knight moves, like this:

But I'm suggesting that we have an option to change the L shaped arrows to this:

Even if it's an option buried deep in settings, I just want an option for cleaner arrows. Watching streamers show their knight moves with arrows is impossible to follow.

Those "L" arrows are so annoying!

Would really enjoy to have this option as well. I see it as a training tool to get a different perspective on the piece's movement. Shout out to Maurice Ashley for that tip

Searched Google for "straight arrow knight chess.com"...

%50 of the time, the direction of the L feels non-intuitive. I'd rather have a straight arrow.

Straight arrows look a lot better than the L arrows. Chess.com has got to add this feature

+1 Either straight arrows, or the curved ones I've been seeing on recent Chess.com videos on YouTube, would be better than the Ls.

I agree. Horses don't jump in an L shape. Knights go straight to the nearest squares of opposite color that aren't immediately adjacent.

this arrow problem has been here since the dawn of time and I think they have a stubborn programmer or ceo that just wants the L shape. I do not see why they do not just add an option so people can turn the L shape off and on.

the L-shape is a primary reason why people do not use chess.com to make videos.

Devs, PLEASE add this option. I HATE the L shape. I take enough Ls in Chess; at least let me plan my Knight's patch with some dignity.

Hey guys, do you know whether the option has been added at this time? I was looking for it myself as well, it would be great to have straight arrows!

they ain't fixing it, so many things wrong about chess dot com. this is an easy fix and option to make but somebody has put their foot down and do not care about what the players want or need. The same about cheating, if you have noticed the cheating rate has gone up and the prevention has gone done (almost to zero). Also, the world is boycotting Russia, but not chess dot com. It shows what there standards are.

I was sure I was just overlooking the solution to this, but they really do not have that option?? That is mind-boggling to me and by far the most annoying thing about chess dot com.

Hello folks! I'm just passing by to ensure that our team is monitoring these forums. Notice that we're aware this topic has been going on for years, but the implementation of the straight arrow for Knight movements indeed doesn't seem to be in full force as of now.

• We know these news might not result in attending the immediate request, but creating a new settings (one of the common requests here) might not be the way to go.

That said, our team will continue monitoring such feedback, and if ever picks up, it'll be reassessed.
