But changing all the details, even if its the same settings for the engine, isn't Beth and people would still say, "bring back Beth" ....
I don't see the big issue in writing something that has more fan service in it as long as it has a good storyline.
You seem to be mistaking criticising bad writing, for outrage. I'm not sure why. Let me make it simpler: my reaction is not "😡", it's "🙄".
