Unfortunately even if they agreed to this it would be impossible to implement because its too easy to use a VPN which many people would certainly use to get the best price.

It already exists, but I'm pretty sure just using a VPN won't be enough to get it. It might show the lower rate, but when the payment is processed, it probably gets flagged.

Pretty sure they do that already, at least for some countries.  Someone from India was complaining in the forums that when he tried to gift a membership it was considerably more expensive than his regular subscription cost.  Have no idea how to find the thread again, sorry.  Also have no idea how many or what countries get the discount.  I looked at the time and couldn't find anything official about the policy.  Anyway, good idea, but I think they already do it.

This is the thread

Well, I'm a Nigerian from an underdeveloped country and I really had no problem subscribing for the membership, even though it was by accident, but it didn't really do anything to me financially. I'm about 17 years old and it wasn't hard for me to get the membership,I just pulled out my card and did it instantly(by accident).

Did anybody try to compare subscription fees via the different regions via VPN? I shall try that out, but I might get banned 😀

Pretty sure if your able to get regional pricing to show and your payment method doesn't normally use that currency, it will fail.
