Puzzles Not Working? Points seem to be off

I know that I must solve the shortest one, but when they are same lenght?

I'm not 100% positive about this, but will share what I've seen during my puzzle play, which is way more time than I should probably admit!  To date, I've never been able to confirm that a puzzle on this site has two different valid solutions of the same length.  However, it's good to note that since Puzzles will only accept the single approved solution, I'd probably not be able to test a possible second solution, anyway.  I do assume, however, that if there were two same-length solutions and one was more "elegant" than the other that the elegant one would be considered correct.  Of course, I'm not so sure what characteristics would make a solution more elegant.  Ha!

For the past several weeks I've been playing Puzzles on lichess dot com, not this site, due to the unresolved issues reported in this post, and elsewhere.  Just a few days back I played a puzzle on lichess that had two solutions, and I confirmed that the lichess Puzzle app accepted either of them.

Please note that on many occasions, often in frustration, I've totally convinced myself that I had a different solution other than the accepted solution.  When this happens I usually add a question to other players in the comment area for that puzzle.  Without fail, another puzzle player comes along and shows me, via comments, that I was totally wrong and my solution was not a solution after all.

So much for knowing what I'm talking about!  To butcher someone else's quote, "the more I know, the more I know I don't know."

If you find one like that and it for sure matches, then you should report it. Really even forced mates what are just a move or two different can be reported.

There are some endgame positions that are actually draws if they're not done as the shortest mate, so if you run across a mate no matter what puzzle, that one is always going to be shortest mate.
