What is going on with game analysis?

As a free member, I am entitled to 1 game analysis of depth 20 per 24 hour period. For a while, this has been working well.

But now chess.com is trying to take even this feature from us? This is what I see when I click on a game that I already analyzed via my complimentary 1 analysis per day.

When I click on "run report," I see this.

Despite this, I am able to see the analysis that I am entitled to, for now...

So what is going on, chess.com? I know of at least one other website that is completely free and provides strong analysis tools. If you are taking away even 1 basic analysis per day for free players, I see no reason why anyone should not quit chess.com and switch to that site, where they can get those analysis tools for free.

Why so much hostility? No one is trying to cheat you. It's possible something isn't working properly. If you let support@chess.com know, they will try to fix it.

From what I can see, you somehow got two games analyzed for the day.

I did not analyze that blitz game. That must have been my opponent. I generally do not analyze blitz games unless by mistake or if for some reason the line played especially interests me,

Can anyone recommend some other chess sites for playing against the computer and analysis? This one used to be good but recent changes have ruined it.

Playing against the computer here has improved a lot since you last tried it.  They have added a lot of bot opponents so that you will have a chance.

No, because Chess.com does not allow the advertising of competitors, so any such recommendations will be deleted.

Thanks,

That is such an entitled thing to say. They are the ones who own the site, the features, and you still get a lot for free. Maybe you should just actually pay something to get a lowest membership and help the site out? It is not as if those features are "yours" to begin with, so no one taking anything away that is yours.

It's also not "taken away" - the old, underpowered version has been removed and a new, cloud-powered version is being made available soon, so it would be more accurate to say that it's offline while it's being upgraded.

David forgot to type in green text.

That's not in green because it's not a statement in my capacity as a moderator, just a comment from me personally.

Oh, I see. I've only ever seen you type in green text, so I assumed you always did it.

I think they just got around to changing the mobile app analysis...the onsite analysis has been this way for quite some time. Personally I do not like it...it seems very, for lack of a better term Engine-nee...I realize its an engine, but it will say certain book moves are inaccurate, which I think is ridiculous, moreover it gives a lot of inaccuracy marks for moves that simply lose a few decimals of rating...sure your position is a few centipawns worse, but the overall position is good. I must preferred the old 10min max mobile app analysis. No, use complaining I guess...if this tool is more accurate then so be it.
