Slightly Annoying UI Changes

Chess.com made some slight changes to the ui on the home screen and forums page. This forces me to go to another page to view my daily games or look at forums, which is kinda annoying. Is there any way to change it back to the original?

Until the site gets things stable and all planned changes and upgrades in place, those changes are likely to be there as they were completed to help with overall load.

Not a convincing reason. Simple fragment caching should make showing daily games on the home page barely any load at all. If anything this makes it worse because it will require more requests.

Initial login for most members is going to be the homepage and everything on that page is going to be doing queries against the DBs. Many of those items were hidden to relieve load.

There have been mutiple different changes made in various locations for the same reason. They wouldn't have been removed if it wasn't decided it was significant enough to do.
