Sorting Forum Comments

I wonder if it would be possible to sort out the forum comment order so that the oldest comments start on top and more recent comments below that.

Pretty sure that's how it works now...

As @baddogno says, that's the default, for forums. Other content is newest first.

In beta currently, sort order can be changed and should be available at some point for everyone.

This is getting attention again.. can we choose customized forum sort order for teams?

LIke for particular topic.. order should be newest cumments on top.. for others the default order??

Topics are always going to default to Oldest first and viewers can individually choose to change each topic when reading it

I don't imagine an option would be added to set individual topic sort.

I think i used the incorrect words to describe..

suppose this thread.. the one who sees this first will be seeing the question first.. then reading the whole conversation one by one.. and if he is patient enough, will read till end..

my suggestion is to let users decide to sort comments of a particular topic (like this one) latest first

You can do that on the website using the sort option at the top of each topic

Will that be common for all in the group? i wanted to have same view for all members in a team to see a particular topic

No, it has to be done by the viewer on each topic.

As mentioned in my first reply, I can't imagine the site will add a feature to enable specific topics to have a different default sort order.

on ordinary course that is the case.. i too agree..

in one of our teams, we have an topic for members to introduce themselves. .. right now the users will have to see the oldest (years back) one to start with.. then scroll to last one..

Here I thought it is better to have an option by admins (like pinning a topic) to make certain topics to be sorted on the basis of latest cumments
