Stay Logged In Permanently?

Is there a way to adjust my Settings so that I stay logged in permanently?  I am getting tired of having to log in each time I visit this site.

That isn't an option on site.

If your sessions never timed out it could actually really hurt the site performance. To make the site run smoothly it's better to have only have accounts actively using the site logged in.

Got it.  Thanks.

The only time I have to login to the site is if I clear my browser’s history/cookies.

There is a “Remember” checkbox on the login page.

If your browser is configured to clear its history when it’s closed, that could be clearing your login name and password.

Then that means that the previous explanation from the earlier post wasn't any good, if there's actually a way to do it. Hopefully people can get real help from these forums instead of bad advice. Just sayin'.

Any update on this? I don't understand why I have to log into the site almost every time I visit it.

Pretty sure always logged in connections won't become an option, on web.

um

i just open my browser then go to chess.com and no login required

i use a bookmark though

like, what happens is it doesnt go thru the login screen but just to the home page

maybe my link to chess.com/home is causing this behaviour

anyway, the op can do this

If you check Remember Me it will probably log you in again automatically after a session expires but the session from a site perspective will still end.

That's not a feature I use, so don't know how it works in practice.

I check "Remember Me" but it makes no difference. I still get logged out. This doesn't happen with other sites.

This is a new problem with Chess.com. I have been playing there for years and always stay logged in. I am having the same problem now and can't stay logged in when I use my regular bookmark. I use Chrome with Ublock origin, don't know if it has anything to do with that.

All of a sudden, have to log in all the time angry

l-ng

PoF2828

Same here. Decent PC, same config since years and all of a sudden, I keep being logged out even with "remember me" checked.

I tried to delete the Chesscom cookie but it didn't work.

DeconanLeBarbaresque

Could be another newbie bug cry

Try to uncheck the "Remember" box when login...

Isn’t it the case that C.C will log you out after a period of inactivity to make ‘room’ for others, especially because they have had a huge number of new users recently?

It's just the login, not a permanent connection to the servers.

Sessions are still tracked server side.
