Hello Chess.com community. Recently I've discovered that the official flag of Belarus has become gray in support of Ukraine. I completely support this decision, nevertheless I have an even better solution to the problem to propose. You see, Belarus is suffering from a pro-russian dictatorship for three decades now. The only thing that's keeping the regime in place is the support from Putin. There were massive protests three years ago, but the regime didn't fall due to the military & economical support from russia.
The protests uncovered that 97% of the population of Belarus are against the dictatorship. We have elected a new president, Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, but she was forced out of the country, because her family was threatened by Lukashenko (the dictator).
Peaceful protests were driven away with tear gas, lethal weapons, flash grenades. If you, chess.com, want to truly support Ukraine, please support Belarussian resistance: the women who were raped by police, the elderly who marched on the streets shouting "go away!", the ones who were brave enough to come out to protest —
please put the flag of free Belarus, red & white flag, instead of the gray flag we currently have.
Sincerely, RIGIK93.
