I second the motion. Sounds like a worthy idea. But I wish the bots in any given grouping were spaced closer together in rating, a 300 point spread is a bit much. 150 would be more like it. Some bot groups are spread too widely, and others are kind of the opposite, with several bots of about the same rating. I get how you give them quirks to add diversity, but there are way more than enough 500-800elo bots, for example, which cuts into their functional diversity. Mittens seems to have been popular. Maybe more cute fuzzy critters? A penguin who specializes in traps and swindles? A sugar glider who crushes it but only plays the worst openings, including bong cloud, a goat who plays only the cow as black or white, then eats a piece or two, limiting randomly what you can promote to. Ehh, sorry.. I'm just riffing here
Team of bots that play Gambits

Consider making a group of bots that play gambits. I need to practice against gambit players, but the bots don't usually play gambits. Make a bot Team Gambit with varying ratings (900, 1200, 1500, etc) that are guaranteed always play a gambit against you, black and white. Thanks!
