thousands of new players are cheating at puzzles

in the four days since Christmas, my puzzle rating hasn't changed, but my puzzle *ranking* has gone from ~15000 to ~85000, very suspicious. since Santa doesn't hand out new brains and chess.com didn't sextuple its membership, I can only conclude that kids worldwide are using their winter break to cheat at puzzles. since it says in the fair play rules that you can't use engines to cheat at puzzles, I expect chess.com to do something about this. though I bet their hand are full with game cheating if there's this much puzzle cheating now.

70000 people earned >2200 puzzle rating in 4 days? When only 15000 people had that prior to Christmas? Tell me you don't know how to math without telling me you don't know how to math.

I've thought of another possibility: these people were always there, but the system wasn't counting them as existing prior to them using it for the first time since the rating system change in October, and this is the first time large numbers of people are getting to do puzzles due to the holidays. Though then the numbers should be leveling out soon.

I wish it was just at puzzles. And its far from just new players. Its more likely they are formally banned players just returning.

My ranking started to go back up, now I'm #79000, so maybe they did something.
