Yes more threads are being locked for who knows what reason and other people are muted as well. Perhaps long-term members could be given the benefit of the doubt, ie just be given a bit more leeway ? A minor thought from the Ordinary Peons.
We Need IMPROVED Rules !!!
Yes as been mentioned elsewhere before the OP of any thread should have control of their own thread which means get rid of the 5 post rule regarding the OPs. They want the OP to monitor their own thread, how about some help there ?

--- So they locked one of my threads the other day. No explanation, no info of any sort ay all. Just to be very clear here I must admit that I have not been blessed with ESP ( no I'm not a distant relative of The Amazing Kreskin lol ). Well we could play a game of 100 questions however it would be a heck of a lot easier if they went ahead and told us what the problem was in the first place.

Yes, the locking seems to be somewhat arbitrary and inconsistent at times. It could use some clear guidelines. BTW- you are aware that 99.99% of the day-to-day posters will not understand your Amazing Kreskin reference right? LOL i used it just this past week with my staff, they had no idea. Another “feeling old” moment for me.

It depends whats getting locked.
for the last 2 years the forums have been garbage, it depends on the staff to fix it at this point.
We can make as many posts as we want complaining about it, and we have, but its not going to change anything, unfortunately.

Aslong as members keep within the guidelines then things won't get locked.

--- It was the 2cnd thread on the very same subject and neither time was there even a tiny hint as to what the heck the problem was ( so ask Kreskin again lol ).
I was a bad boy and I bumped an old thread ( beside this one ) and a mod questioned me. Therefore I might be in trouble again, yep that old badcabby is a bad bad boy lol.
Does anyone remember the poor slaves rowing the ships in the film" Ben Hur "? Well just look in the mirror if you want to see a modern version of those guys lol.

--- Still waiting, Lmao.

I'm afraid that'll be a long watch, @badenwurtca.
I don't think the site will ever give preferential treatment to long-time or paying members while muting/locking. If the site were serious enough about the forums, we wouldn't have the problems w/ Autobots and spam threads in the first place.

--- Hence the reason I that started my thread on " Customer Service " Lmao.
We seem to be getting into a stretch where Thread Locking is taking off. The idea of locking threads needs to be re-examined closely. We have people here who take the time to start up some threads from time to time but then a Moron posts some garbage and the thread gets locked. This has never made any real sense to me. Instead the Mods should give the " Garbage- Moron " a month or two of holidays from this site along with a Warning Regarding Future Conduct. Also the Mod should remove the garbage post or posts from the thread but Should Not lock the thread. Plus the Mod should advise the OP to block the Garbage-Moron as well. To punish the OP of a specific thread for the actions of a Garbage-Moron makes no sense whatsoever.
