Your rating is provisional until you've played a few games. It just means your current rating is a rough estimate based on what you entered and not necessarily accurate yet.

That can't be correct for me then. I've nearly 10k games on this site (and 6k or so in blitz format), since 2-3 years. How can I have a provisional rating? My understanding is unlike li - chess, chesscom doesn't revert a rating into provisional because of inactivity.

Ah. In that case I'm not sure. Either a bug or something chess.com started doing recently.
I just played a random (rated 3-0) blitz game and after I won, this message popped up. First time seeing it. What does it mean by "Play four more games to be rated"? Does it mean my current game was unrated (even though I chose rated and rating adjusted appropriately after the game)? If I play four more games as it wants me to, then what will happen? Will I get some new rating?
