What is the point of 1 day time control if you can go on vacation mode?

It makes that time control pointless, if you plan on ditching the game, choose a longer time format or don't play.

While there are undoubtedly people who abuse the vacation allowance, I would guess that most people don't.

It looks like you have one game where your opponent seems to have left after only a few moves.

The other two look pretty normal. I wouldn't expect them to drag it out.

I think a lot of people get mad when players actually use most of their allowed 24 hour time.

People with bad connections use the 24 hour control to play as rapidly as they can, with many games finishing in less than a day.

It would be very interesting to have Chess.com provide some insight into typical player behaviors.

I think they should make vacation time an optional format, or a setting both players have to agree on, and have an actual 24 time limit for those who want that.
