It is very hard to make boots to play bad in a realistic way. They mix god moves with weird moves in a way a human player never would do. It is not easy to fix.
So try to play more games against humans.
Why do the 1300/1400 bots play like fools?

Lately I have been working my way up through the Intermediate engine bots, specifically the 1300 and 1400 ones (level 9 and 10). I have noticed that in reality, these bots play as if they are half their rank. They make weird moves that don't benefit them at all. Constantly hang and blunder pieces. Often they let me take a protected piece without retaliation.
I am a 1000. I should not be able to defeat these bots so easily. They play like kids. The human 1300s - 1400s I've played are grandmasters compared to the engine. I am suggesting that the engine bots are improved to be more realistic for their rankings. Thanks.
