I don't care if this is controversial, I'm just gonna say it: chess.com's decision to remove the russian flag makes zero sense. What's the point, what does it accompish? Ok, they are against Russia, so what? I'm against as well but I think politics have no place on a chess site. It's funny because they will lock political threads and yet they feel the need to express their stance on the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Chess.com has zero integrity.
If we follow their logic (or rather lack thereof), we should remove every flag of every country's government we are against. Remove Israel, remove Palestine, remove Bielorussia, remove North Korea, remove EVERYTHING. So stupid.

it is even funnier because I am naturally from Ukraine, I was born in Kherson and lived in Vinitsa my childhood, I can prove that easily if needed, I always was against war from 2014, but seems in the Western countries only the opinion of one part of Ukrainians matter, Ukrainians that support Russia or live in Russia do not, and there should not be political stuff going on in a chess site, just banned an entire nation because they hate Russia, Russians and racist motives. What a shame when Russians did so much for chess in history.

Hmm. Chess.com explained its reasons for taking the action related to Russia several years ago.

Political discussions aren't allowed in the main forum. There are clubs where you are free to voice your opinions.
seems everyones flag is showing and mine not, why is that? I am from Russia. Just need to know if its an error or the site is racist, if its the second option not playing here. Thanks everyone for your help.
