You cannot post new topics that frequently

I'm a paying member and won't post new topics without having a good reason and within the lines of proper use of chess.com. For some legitimate reason I happened to want to post two new topics within a short time.
I assume that this is an anti spam measure, but so far, all your anti spam measures tend to annoy proper members much more than the real spammers.
This time, I had spent 20 minutes on my new topic and after getting that message, 20 minutes' of work was gone.

Can't you put some filters on these measures, so that the good people don't get hampered so annoyingly?

And not a single response from staff

Staff don't post in the forums that often. If you want a response it might be better to open a ticket or use the Make a Suggestion link in the Help menu, though I don't know how often the latter gets a reply.

omg yes... to OP... I tried to ask questions about the Vote Chess Rules that seem to have changed suddenly as the opening analysis button has been removed.

I too was given this warning, even though I would be surprised if i had posted more than 2 public forum threads this week:

we should be able to ask these questions............

and the site should tell us if we are breaking VC rules, by telling us what the new rules are!

We are in a crunch couple of games in a vote chess tourney and I really don't like being in this position. Please direct me to a good place to get the specific rules of what we are allowed to do in this regard now Martin, as things keep changing around here and it's ........ it's quick sand.

The Vote Chess thing was due to some code changes and should be back when some other site code gets updated..

Sometimes, as a workaround, you can post in the forum of a club.

Ok cool.... so the opening explorer is still allowed in vote chess, even if it's not there xD

Martin_Stahl

Yeah, it still is an allowed resource in Vote Chess.

Same issue. What is even the time delay allowed? Do I come back tomorrow? The next day? Next week?

Pretty sure it isn't very long. Not sure on the time but probably just a few minutes max I would think.

You have no idea what you are talking about, so why do you make a post?

I know that the posting cool-down time isn't very long. What I didn't know was the exact time. happy.png
