A nice tool for members that another website has

Recently I visited (another site) again. This is a website that has a huge database of boardgames with all kinds of forums, pages, market and a big community. Just like here on chess.com there are a so many things that it can be a bit of a puzzle to find pages again, or it takes alot of clicking.

Another site has a very nice solution for this and it could be handy to chess.com as well. They have the quickbar. This  works the same as favoriting in your browser, instead its on the webpage.

Users can click the edit button and enter a url + name. On another site users can set 10 urls on each page, and there are 10 pages. This makes it really easy to navigate to the parts of the site without clicking through menus.

Heres a screenshot from the BGG quickbar:

If someone wants ro regularly analyse his lost blitz games he can set a quicklink:

http://www.chess.com/home/my_archive?color=all&result=lost&show=live_blitz&sortby=

The user names it "my lost blitz games"

Then anytime he can go there simply by clicking the link. Or perhaps the game archive of a friend? There are many 'hidden' pages that one can be interested in to check regularly.

No one likes this? I think it would be extremely handy!

true, well many good ideas.. but they take alot of work and time to implement. I just hope this is not the most difficult thing to implement.
