All The Reasons We Hate V3!

Ok, I'll try V3 again. :)

It looks like you purposefully made v3 to appeal to kids... like to have them just waste time and mess around and tried to keep the older people out.

Maybe that's just me, but you make a seek, the seek graph disappears and it says "searching for a game" and you can't actually see the open seeks, like we're just setting it up and not showing you the truth of how many people are looking for what, just letting it auto-pair however we want it to.

It looks more like some Call of Duty game where the team waits for the next auto challenge to happen... when the whole time it's just a "playground" to let kids waste their time in and do no real harm.

Maybe I'm just seeing things strangely... the king of the hill and 960 are fun though! The old USCF program that got bought out used to have "suicide chess" too... that was fun.

How can I get shot of the number 21 that appears in top left hand corner over the little green pawn?  I click on clear all but it keeps coming back.

It includes both. The topic icon will be different for topics you started.

@RJC - I don't think I've ever seen a more prolific user of the emoticon smiley faces at chess.com.  There's probably a trophy for that somewhere, but it may be burried in some hole with the rest of the V2 artifacts.

I still don't see how V3 is not tracking the same forum topics as I am in V2.  I guess I have to go re-tag all the same forums in V3.

I hadn't noticed that the Report a Bug icon had been moved to inside the Help icons - glad I haven't advised anyone about that one recently

And no, I'm not on the dev team either: my Staff position is actually a pretty casual one, and about identifying and closing spam accounts that escape the automatic filters. I'm also on the moderator team, but like most of the team, that's unpaid. Except in the wonderful and generous feedback from the Chess.com community, of course

It might be beneficial to also point out that those who prefer words over icons, can click on the expand icon to show words as well as icons.

V3 is slow in showing alerts compared to V2.

That's a fact.

In V2 when u post in a blog and hit home, the next person posting will show as an alert straight away.

In V3 it does'nt. Its just annoying. Especially when one is playing a game of poker.

I'm up in the north of Scotland atm and its slow, when i'm down south Scotland (nearer to the equater) its a little faster. Hope that helps :)

I believe V3 is programmed to be annoying in Scotland.  I received an anonymous tip from a site programmer.

In V2 they go all over the place. Even upwards.
