Android vs iOS

Hi dudes!

After having played for a year mostly over android tablets

I now finally shifted to an iPad! YES I only bought an iPad

because of chess.com (the reason why i bought 2 android

tablets before) -> This is one of the good news. The sad part

is the android support and as i think the leck of COMMUNICATION

that life chess via adnroid (especially blitz or bullet) seems to be

just not playable because of disconnection and TIMING issues.

I think this should be communicated more transparently becuase

I spent so much time in trying to optimize my tablet in every technical

detail i could found cause i thought it was ME who was to stupid to

get it to work smoothly! Now after having bought the iPad whicht just

arrived today and I played my 1st match I'm totally flashed (which is the

good news):

iOs seems to work with Chess.com like a DREAM. And it's not even the

much sought after "new update" which the staff talked about since month

right? It's just the ordinary regular software. Besides that it just WORKS

(as opposed to the android version) it has a much better graphical UI because

it utilzes the whole screen! Even the sound is softer (more elegant) in some way.

It's a dream come true for the chess.com fan.

So I don't wanna blame the technical android team which seems to fight hard

in bugfixing (and there are a whole lot less crashes meanwhile) but I think it

has to be comminucated that the android version can just be considered as

some kind of beta. The timing issues in android life sessions are like bad humour.

Its so frsutrating when you have a mate in 1, and 1 minute on the clock while suddenly

a message say's that the opponent has won!?! Or to have a great possition and than

suddenly appears the screen "disconnecting in x seconds" and you have to run to the

computer, log in quickly in order to try and save the game and recently sometimes got

the message "oops you are allready loged in"... etc. etc. I could write books about the

frustration especially when you don't guess that it's just an android problem and everything

else is allright with your internet connection...

Well that said I hope that I can save people who read this messsage from those unnassesary

frustrations and don't desperately try to use the not yet mature combination "chess.com and android" On the other hand i hope of course that when someone with an

android is reading my post MEANWHILE the andorid team was able to enhance the software

(mainly the connection issues) so that this phenomenons are not anymore up to date by

the time you are reading this. Than just "forget about this" wink.png

to finish with positive words to the chess.com team: Take this as compliment please. If chess.com wouldn't be such a superior plattform I just would've changed the platform

but now that i see how great the gameplay and feel on the iPad is, I think it woth absouluteley

worth buying it. Keep on the good work please!
